Verbatim Expands Subscription Coverage to Latin American Consumer Sector

MAYNARD, MA - March 14, 2012 - Verbatim Advisory Group, an independent research provider (IRP) that serves institutional investors, today announced that it finished its first six months of continuous coverage of several retailers in Latin America. 

Multi-national coverage has been a longstanding service of Verbatim, and now Verbatim offers ongoing subscription coverage of this set of non-US companies.

"US institutional investors are often surprised to hear that these companies have market capitalizations that rival those of their US counterparts," noted John Strehle, Verbatim's Managing Partner.  The 10 largest companies in Latin America's retail sector have equity capitalizations ranging $1 to 58 billion, with an average of $13 billion.  The same numbers for the 10 largest US retailers are $6 billion to $206 billion, with an average of $51 billion.  Valuations relative to revenue in Latin America are 1.5 versus 0.5 in the US.  On a per-store basis, valuations are also well ahead of the US metrics, reflecting the strong relative growth rates.”
